Shimobe Onsen

Shimobe Onsen is a hot spring area located in the lower part of Minobu Town, Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a quiet mountain hot spring area surrounded by the mountains of the Southern Alps. Shimobe Onsen is known as Takeda Shingen’s hidden hot spring. It is said that Takeda Shingen, who was injured in the shoulder during the Battle of Kawanakajima, came here to heal his wounds. The quality of the lower hot spring is simple hot spring. The spring quality is gentle on the skin and is said to be effective in recovering from fatigue and beautifying the skin.
