Kyobashi, night entertainment district: Is it retro or underground? Even so, it is a very lively nightlife district that is lively every night.

Osaka, Kyobashi at night.

Kyobashi is a town located north of Osaka Castle. It is also an area with a retro streetscape and many izakaya (Japanese pubs), and is centered around Kyobashi Station on the JR and Keihan Railway lines.

Is it retro or underground? Anyway, it’s a super deep entertainment district

Kyobashi maintains a relatively old townscape. Inside, new and old restaurants and entertainment facilities are mixed together, forming a mysterious scene.

As soon as you step out of Kyobashi Station, the world view unfolds.

The appearance of the entertainment district of the Showa era remains, with neon lights crowded into a small area. If I were to compare it to Tokyo, it would be similar to Kamata, Omori, and Ikebukuro (west and north exits). There are pachinko, game centers, and sex shops in front of the station. It’s a scene that seems to show no concern for modern compliance, but it’s a cityscape that will get you excited for people who love entertainment districts.

Up to this point, I have introduced only the deep cityscape, so it looks like a very underground town, but at night it is also a lively place where locals enjoy drinking.

There are many restaurants and it is lively at night.

As soon as you exit Kyobashi Station, there is a shopping street with many restaurants.

Although there are parts of the city that have a retro feel and an undeniable underground feel, the people who gather there are very civilized and the security is not bad. In fact, the locals are happily enjoying alcohol. Kyobashi at night is such an area.
