Immerse Yourself in Luxury with Private Barrel Saunas
Shizenjinmura isn’t just a camping site—it also features high-end private saunas. Designed with Tokyo’s locally sourced Tama wood, these barrel saunas offer an exquisite relaxation experience.
Step outside the sauna, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by lush greenery and flowing rivers. It’s an opportunity to rejuvenate all your senses.
Comfortable Stays in Tiny Houses and Cabins
Shizenjinmura offers two types of accommodations: Tiny Houses and Cabins. Both are thoughtfully designed for a luxurious and comfortable stay amidst nature.
Scenic Campsites with a Serene Creek
The campsites at Shizenjinmura are surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes. Enjoy the soothing sound of a nearby creek while camping in the forest.
Each plot is spacious enough to set up three small tents or one large shelter tent with additional space for a living area.
Tips for Using the Campsites
Bringing Equipment to the Campsite
Vehicles are not allowed in the camping zones. The path from the parking area includes steep inclines and a creek crossing, so having a utility wagon can be helpful.
Shower Facilities
Coin-operated showers are available (¥100/3 minutes).
Alternatively, visit the nearby hot spring facility, “Seoto no Yu,” for a relaxing soak.
Garbage Disposal
Shizenjinmura offers garbage collection services. However, proper sorting is required, so bring garbage bags for convenience.
- Burnable waste
- Non-burnable waste
- Glass bottles
- Cans
- Plastic bottles
- Food waste
Bags can also be purchased at the on-site shop for approximately ¥50 each. Garbage is collected at the reception during check-out.
Rental Equipment
Shizenjinmura offers camping gear rentals.

Best Access Option: Take a Taxi!
If you’re traveling by train, I recommend taking a taxi from the nearest station, JR Itsukaichi Station.
The fare is around ¥1,000 and takes 5–10 minutes. Walking involves uphill terrain, so a taxi ride is the most comfortable option.

- Right: ¥1,200 (from Shizenjinmura to Itsukaichi Station, including a ¥300 call-out fee).
Two taxi companies service this area. Call them for pick-up; they typically arrive within 10 minutes.
