You can buy groceries around Okutama Station. There are convenience stores, butcher shops, and greengrocers.
You can either shop for groceries on your way to the campground or head back to the station after checking in and dropping off your heavy luggage at the campground.
The store at Hikawa Campground is well-stocked. You can buy alcohol and simple food there.

Akiyama River Campground, located in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is accessible in about 1.5 hours from the city center.
Situated along the Akiyama River near Lake Sagami, this campground offers stunning river views.
Take the train and get off at Fujino Station.
Walking allows you to enjoy the scenic views.
Stop by the Matsuba supermarket to buy groceries.

The Matsuba supermarket is not far from the campground, so you can check in first and then buy groceries.

Shizenjin Village in Akiruno City, Tokyo, is surrounded by rich nature and accessible in just 1.5 hours from the city center.
Take the train and get off at Musashi-Itsukaichi Station.
First, stop by the Park Shopping Center Tategaya store near the station to buy groceries.
Return to Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, where you can find a taxi stand. Take a taxi to Shizenjin Village.
You can also walk from the station to the campground, but it is a bit far (about a 25-minute walk), and the route is uphill. Taking a taxi saves time and effort.
The taxi ride takes 5-10 minutes and costs around 1,000 yen.

Saiko Lakeside Campground, located in Fujikawaguchiko Town, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, is situated on the shores of Saiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes.
The campground is surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 902m and offers various camping styles with bungalows built around the lakeside and tent sites near the lake.
Get off at Kawaguchiko Station.

Return to Kawaguchiko Station and take the Saiko Tour Bus (Green Line).
