Overview of campsite
There are several sites at Seseragisou Campsite, and the site is quite spacious overall.
There are 5 sites in total. We have assigned symbols A to E to make it easier to explain.
Administration Building
The administration building is located at the top of the hill from the entrance.
Check-in procedures and garbage collection will be done at the administration building.
Goat Hut
There is a goat shed in front of the administration building.
A site
Site A is located between the campsite entrance and the administration building, and is large enough for about two groups.
B site
Site B is in the back of the photo where the tarp is set up.
There is enough space for one family.
There is only one section and there is a toilet nearby, so it is recommended for families.
In the foreground is a large covered dining area. You can take shelter even if it rains.
C site
There are 6 sections in total.
There is enough space to set up two 1-2 person tents.
Each has a covered dining space.
You can also park your car in front of the lot.
D site
It’s located down from the C site. This is the place on the right side of the photo.
It is large enough to accommodate two 1-2 person tents.
E-site
E Cross the bridge to reach the site.
Once you cross the bridge, there are sections on the left and right.
The left side is large enough for one group to camp, and the right side is large enough for two or three groups to camp.
You will not be able to drive up to the E site, so you will have to carry your luggage by yourself (you will park in front of the administration building). However, this area remains untouched and you can fully experience the river and mountains.
The inside of the campsite is also introduced in the video.
About shops and rentals
There is no shop at Seseragisou Campsite.
Therefore, we do not rent tents, tarps, barbecue grills, etc.
About bonfires
Open fires are prohibited.
You can either bring your own bonfire, or light a bonfire in one of the permanently installed bonfire stands made from drum cans in each section.
There is plenty of room in the size, so it is large enough to fit normally sold firewood.
By the way, as mentioned above, Seseragi-so doesn’t have a shop, so of course they don’t sell firewood.
You can pick up and use fallen leaves and branches that have fallen around you, but there are not a lot of fallen leaves and you cannot collect a large amount. We recommend purchasing firewood in advance before heading to the campsite.
Washing area
Washing stations are located at each point.
There is no hot water. The water is very cold, so you have to be careful when washing dishes.
We recommend wearing thick vinyl gloves to keep your hands from getting cold when washing dishes.
Regarding Garbage collection
There is a designated separation method for garbage, and if you separate it according to that method, it will be collected.
- Garbage
- Cans, bottles, plastic bottles
- Combustible garbage (waste paper, vinyl, plastic, etc.)
Garbage bags are not specified and will not be provided. Please bring a large garbage bag with you.
If you put out your garbage in front of the office entrance, it will be collected.
Ash dump
The collection point for used ash and charcoal is located next to the wash area at Site C.
About baths and showers

Instead, there is a hot spring facility called Basho Tsukimachi no Yu just a short walk away.
