There are many campgrounds in Doshi Village, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, and the area is rich in nature, making it a truly sacred place for camping in Japan.
However, there are almost no supermarkets or convenience stores around the Doshi village campsite. That’s why you need to stock up on food and, if necessary, eat before you arrive at your destination campsite.
When driving from Tokyo to the campsite in Doshi Village, you can do all your shopping and meals in one route. I would like to introduce the driving route that I always use.
Optimal solution for driving route
Here is the driving route to the Doshi Village campsite where you can shop and eat.

Proceed along National Route 413 and head for the campsite
Get off at Chuo Expressway Sagamiko Higashi IC
There are several routes to get to Doshi Village, but if you take the Chuo Expressway, get off at Sagamiko-Higashi IC.
If you get off at Sagamiko-Higashi IC, there is a breakfast/lunch area and a supermarket area, and you can take one route to Doshi Village.
Breakfast/lunch area
If you get off the expressway at Sagamiko Higashi IC, you will find Sagamiko Station on the JR Chuo Main Line nearby. There are several restaurants around Sagamiko Station where you can enjoy breakfast and lunch.
Most restaurants around Sagamiko Station open at 11:00 am. Please note that the restaurant is not open during breakfast hours.
If you’re in the area early and want to eat breakfast, we recommend the family restaurant Gusto Sagamiko, which is open from 9:00 on weekdays and 8:00 on weekends and holidays.

Supermarket/Drugstore/100 Yen Shop All-Star Area
The good thing about this supermarket area is that there are supermarkets, drug stores, and 100 yen shops all in one place.
There is a drugstore next to the supermarket, and there is a 100 yen shop on the second floor of the drugstore.
They procure ingredients at the supermarket and purchase medicines, insect repellent, etc. at the drugstore. He buys small items such as cooler bags at his 100 yen shop.
In this supermarket area, I think you can get everything you need on your shopping list before heading to the Doshi village campsite.
Now just head to the campsite!!
Once you’ve made your purchases, all you have to do is continue along Route 413 to the campsite.
There are many campgrounds in Doshi Village, but most of them do not have supermarkets, convenience stores, or restaurants near the campgrounds. Therefore, if you can eat meals or buy ingredients along the route, you can get to your destination more efficiently.
The charm comes from nothing. Doshi Village is a sacred place for outdoor activities rich in nature.
