TOKYO Outside Festival
TOKYO Outside Festival is an outdoor-themed festival offering a family-friendly experience. It features exhibitions and sales of camping gear, handicrafts, local specialties, custom cars, countless food trucks, and fun activities.
In 2023, the venue was beautifully colored with cherry blossoms in full bloom and occasional petal showers in the breeze.
Tempting Outdoor Goods and Unique Experiences
A bustling area filled with booths offering outdoor goods, apparel, and more.
At the Coleman booth, visitors could check out and purchase tents and other camping gear.

There were also many apparel brand booths, making it a fashion-friendly event too.
Bioland: German Breads and Sweets
Bioland, from Yamagata Village in Nagano Prefecture, offered German-style breads and even fire starters made from rice husks—perfect for an outdoor-themed festival.
Oyaji Camp Meals
A highlight of the event was the booth of the popular Japanese YouTube drama Oyaji Camp Meals.
The drama follows the quiet and stubborn but kind-hearted Akio as he wanders from campsite to campsite. Funded through crowdfunding, it’s a favorite among Japanese camping enthusiasts.
The booth featured filming props, photos, and the YouTube Silver Play Button.
Exciting Activities for Kids
The TOKYO Outside Festival is especially known for its kid-friendly interactive activities.
There was also a tree climbing experience—rare in central Tokyo—and the kids were thrilled.
These unique experiences are what make the Outside Festival truly special.
Vehicles Tailored for Outdoor Use
Outdoor enthusiasts were thrilled by the vehicles on display and for sale.
This is the VOLVO C304 6×6, a high-mobility 6WD military vehicle made for the Swedish army from 1974 to 1984. Known as the “Terrängbil 13 (Tgb 13),” it remains popular among off-road fans and overland builders worldwide for its rugged design and maintainability.
Next is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, a 4-door SUV combining Jeep’s legendary off-road capabilities and customization potential. It’s the entry model of the Wrangler series.
Then there’s the Mitsubishi DELICA—a crossover SUV/minivan manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. The name comes from “Delivery Car,” and it’s been loved for decades for its unique blend of commercial and passenger vehicle features.
Refuel with Gourmet Food Trucks
A variety of food trucks were present, adding to the lively atmosphere.
A Must for Outdoor Lovers! Fun for Everyone from Kids to Adults
With so many activities for children, this is a perfect outdoor festival for families. Few urban Tokyo festivals offer such a wide range of experiences.
