OUTDOOR DAY JAPAN
Outdoor Day Japan is one of Japan’s largest hands-on outdoor events where you can see, touch, and experience the latest camping gear and outdoor activities. First held in Tokyo in 2011, it has since expanded to various cities across Japan and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2025.

Venue: Yoyogi Park Event Plaza
From major manufacturers to small garage brands, many exhibitors showcased and sold new camping gear, with countless tents on display. The ability to check out gear in person is one of the event’s biggest highlights.
In addition to new and classic items, some booths offered discontinued gear at discounted prices—making it a great opportunity to score hidden gems.
Outdoor Day Japan is held in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.

Ogasawara Islands Tourism Booth
JAF teamed up with the Izu & Ogasawara Islands to set up a booth promoting travel to Japan’s remote islands.
Each island’s unique charm was well-presented, making visitors want to plan a trip.
Each island had its own pamphlet, allowing attendees to take home detailed information and recommended sightseeing spots.
It really sparked a desire to visit the Izu and Ogasawara Islands someday.

Belmont is a trusted Made in Japan brand known for its high-quality camping gear.
The booth featured many of Belmont’s signature items for sale.
Here’s a beautifully finished Belmont Sierra Cup.
CHUMS
CHUMS is known for blending outdoor functionality with pop design, creating a fun and colorful style.
Their booth this year was no exception—filled with vibrant displays that added energy to the spring edition of Outdoor Day Japan.
Visitors who followed CHUMS on Twitter or Instagram received a free sticker.
SOTO
The booth of SOTO, a brand famous for its burners and gas canisters, attracted a lot of attention.
Various burner models were on display and available for purchase. Being able to see such a wide selection in one place is one of the great things about this event.
You could also talk to staff and learn the differences between each model.
VICTORINOX
Every camper has likely dreamed of owning the ultimate multitool—enter VICTORINOX.
The exquisite finish on their multitools makes them irresistible.
This iconic red multitool is the “Classic SD” model.
This one is the “Swiss Tool Spirit MX”.
They also hosted a workshop where you could test the sharpness of their products.
Another fun activity was the “Ice Block Challenge,” a quiz campaign to guess how long a block of ice would take to melt.

NAUTILUS is a large two-room tent series designed for spacious comfort and top-tier functionality. Perfect for families and group campers, the “NAUTILUS 4x4” model, for example, can accommodate up to eight people.

THE NORTH FACE also showcased and sold a variety of bags and apparel.

LOGOS
LOGOS is an Osaka-based outdoor brand offering a wide range of products, especially popular among families. Founded in 1928 as a marine supply wholesaler called “Daisan Shokai”, the company launched the LOGOS brand in 1985. With the motto “From the sea shore to 800 meters above sea level,” LOGOS provides gear suitable for both beginners and seasoned campers.
Coleman
Coleman is a world-famous outdoor brand founded in 1901 by William Coffin Coleman in Kansas, USA. Originally a gas lamp rental business, the company evolved into a comprehensive manufacturer of tents, sleeping bags, coolers, stoves, and other outdoor products.
Ogawa
Ogawa is a leading Japanese outdoor brand founded in 1914 as “Ogawa Jihei Shoten.” Initially producing military tents and backpacks, the company has over 100 years of history crafting premium outdoor gear. Today, the brand is managed by Campal Japan Co., Ltd., offering a wide lineup centered on high-quality tents.
muraco
muraco is a Japanese outdoor brand founded in 2016 as a new venture by Shinwa Co., Ltd., a precision metal machining company in Sayama, Saitama. It reflects founder Takuya Murakami’s passion for both craftsmanship and the outdoors, combining precision engineering with refined design.
Two Days at Outdoor Day Japan
Both days of the event were bustling with visitors.
From the latest tents to timeless favorites, and all kinds of camping gear, everything was available to see and touch. For large items like tents, seeing them in person helps visualize their size and feel—one of the unique advantages of Outdoor Day Japan, Japan’s top-tier outdoor event.
Held annually in various cities across the country, it’s definitely worth attending if you love the outdoors.
