Kouan Campsite is a campsite where you can enjoy spectacular views of Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji.
The campsite was the setting for the first episode of Anime “Laid-Back Camp” season 1, “Fuji-san and Curry Men”, and has become a sacred place for Laid-Back Camp. I am.
Kouan Campsite - Official Website
Reservations for the Kouan campsite can be made online from the official website.
The check-in time will be determined at the time of reservation, so please go to the campsite administration building at that time and register.
Please note that you will not be able to complete the procedure even if you go to the administration building before check-in time.
Prices at the Kouan campsite are divided depending on whether it is a weekday or holiday and check-in time.
The basic fees for staying one night at a tent site are as follows.
If you want to set up a tent and tarp, the lowest price (after 3:00 pm on weekdays) is 3,100 yen, and the highest price (from mid-morning on holidays) is 4,000 yen.
For details, please check the official website price list.
The recommended point of the Kouan campsite is Mt.Fuji seen from Lake Motosu.
Especially, the moment of sunrise is very beautiful.
The view of Mt. Fuji as the sun rises and illuminates it is very magical.
Captivated by the nostalgic atmosphere at sunrise, many people visit throughout the year.
Enjoying your morning coffee while enjoying this view is the best.
If you want to stay in a tent at Kouan Campsite, you can choose between a lakeside site and a forest site.
The two sites are connected, so once you enter, you can set up wherever you like.
The site that appeared in Laid-Back Camp is a lakeside site. You can set up a tent on the shore of Lake Motosu.
This is a popular site that offers a panoramic view of Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji, but since it is on the lakeside, there are many days when the wind is strong, so you need to be careful with your equipment.
The forest site is surrounded by trees, so Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji are somewhat hidden, but it also provides protection from the wind. Also, depending on the location, you can see Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji even from the forest site.
Recommended for people who want to camp in peace.
When you arrive at the Kouan campsite, please register at the administration building (Motosu Central Lodge) before entering the site.
There is a parking lot in front of the administration building, so park your car there and go to the administration building.
You will be asked for your car number at the reception, so writing it down before going to the reception will save you the trouble of having to go back and check.
At the reception desk, you will fill out the reception form, explain important points, and pay the fee.
Once you have checked in, you will receive a camping pass and can enter the site.
Please leave your camping permit in a visible location in your vehicle when entering or parking.
The staff is very responsive as they provide detailed explanations for first-timers.
You can drive your car to the site. You can park next to the tent.
However, when the forest site is crowded, cars are prohibited from entering the site. (Parking is nearby so this won’t be a problem)
The lakeside site is popular and parking spaces near the lot fill up quickly. When driving to the lakeside site, please be aware of the following.
When it’s crowded, instead of driving straight to the lakeside site, park your car in the parking lot and then walk to find an empty lot. When the lakeside site is crowded, there are many cars and it may be difficult to turn back.
All trash must be taken home.
Please note that the ashes from the bonfire will also be taken home.
The washing area is large and always kept clean.
The toilet is located behind the washroom and across from the coin shower.
The toilets are Western style and are always kept clean.
There is a coin shower at the back of the washing area, opposite the toilet. Available for 24 hours (100 yen for 2 minutes)
If you would like to take a relaxing bath instead of taking a coin shower, we recommend the following bathing facilities. Both are far from the Campsite, but are the closest.
This is a municipal bathing facility operated by Ichikawa Misato Town.
Tsumuginoyu | Tourist Information | Ichikawamisato Town
When going sightseeing in Minobu Town from the Kouan Campsite, we recommend this bathing facility as it is on the way.
This is a bathing facility where you can soak in a hot spring while looking at Mt. Fuji.
There is also a shop attached to the administration building where the reception is held, and many Laid-Back Camp goods are on sale.
Of course, we also sell sweets, snacks (cup ramen, etc.), firewood, etc. unrelated to Laid-Back Camp.
Kouan Campsite is a popular campsite. One of the reasons it’s so popular is that it’s famous for Laid-Back Camp, but even more so is the spectacular view of Lake Motosu and Mt. Fuji, which is well worth a visit.
Please come and see the miraculous scenery that you would never see in everyday life.
