“Love exploring cafes, but looking for something truly unique?”
If you’re seeking a special café experience, let us introduce you to TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO CAFE & BAR ABENO, a hidden gem located in Osaka’s Tennoji and Abeno districts.
This café, located near Abeno Harukas, is a one-of-a-kind complex café created by an interior design company with over 70 years of history. Step inside this beautifully renovated historic building, and you’ll find a breathtaking space where light and greenery blend seamlessly.
With its glass-ceiling terrace, stylish interiors, and meticulously crafted dishes, every detail—from the presentation to the plating—is infused with artistic flair. It’s as if you’ve stepped into an interior design magazine, where you can indulge in both exceptional ambiance and cuisine.
Today, we’ll take you through the many charms of this café, where every detail, from the décor to the menu, exudes a refined, extraordinary atmosphere.

TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO CAFE & BAR ABENO, located in Osaka’s Abeno area, offers a stylish café bar experience just a stone’s throw from Abeno Harukas. This café merges elements of interior design and DIY within a trendy space filled with elegant furnishings, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner.
Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Yao, Osaka, TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO started as a small factory manufacturing screws and curtain hooks. Today, they specialize in creating original products and importing interior and DIY goods, along with offering services that span lifestyle areas including café management, construction, and rental spaces.
The TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO Café, produced by TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO Co., Ltd., merges interior design, DIY, and café culture in a multifaceted setting. Here, guests can enjoy stylish furniture, beautiful interiors, and delicious meals, while also participating in DIY workshops and shopping for home goods on display.
Currently, there are three locations: Asakusa in Tokyo, Hakata in Fukuoka, and this featured location in Osaka’s Abeno. Each café brings together design enthusiasts who can dine, shop, and connect through workshops.
Upon entering TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO Café ABENO, you’ll be greeted by an impressively spacious area with a high ceiling. Large windows allow natural light to flood the predominantly white interior, complemented by warm lighting for a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

With concrete-textured walls and simple, modern furniture, the design is thoughtful and refined. This industrial-style aesthetic is softened by the thoughtful placement of greenery throughout.

Of particular note is the terrace seating with its glass ceiling. Bright and inviting, this sunlit space feels almost like a greenhouse, perfect for relaxing with friends. The lush green surroundings offer a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle.

The café’s layout primarily consists of two-seater tables, but it’s also suitable for groups. The sharp, steel chairs and warm wooden tables offer a blend of materials that feel both sophisticated and inviting.

Enjoying lunch in a light-filled, open space has a certain excitement to it, doesn’t it?
A must-try at TOMOYASU SEISAKUSYO Café ABENO is their “Daily One-Plate Meal.”

On the day of our visit, the special was “Fried Salmon with Broccoli Tartar Sauce.” Served on a beautiful blue-rimmed plate reminiscent of Polish pottery, the dish is a vibrant feast for the eyes.

The fried salmon, with its crispy coating and juicy interior, pairs perfectly with the broccoli tartar sauce. Accompanied by colorful sides like carrot rapé, beetroot marinade, and seasonal vegetable pickles, it’s a delightful plate that showcases both flavor and balance.
The multi-grain rice has a hint of sweetness and a fun texture, perfectly complementing the fresh greens for a well-rounded meal in a stylish setting. A truly satisfying experience for both the stomach and the soul.

In addition to the Daily One-Plate, the lunch menu includes pasta, curry, and roast beef rice bowls. Each lunch set comes with salad, soup, and a drink, and for an additional ¥220, you can add dessert.
